Philco Stereo Console. Seller says that the turntable works but isn’t sure about the radio. I like the style of this one- the top is mostly solid and the stereo is accessed through the front rather than the top.
$25 in Vienna (40 minutes south of Jefferson City). Here’s the link: Vintage Philco Stereo.
Tiered End Tables. Nice clean style with tapered legs, but it’s hard to tell the condition.
$10 each or $15 together in Columbia. Here’s the link: Vintage End Tables.
Loveseat Set. This looks like one couch, but it’s actually two pieces. Both are pull-out sofas. The fabric is swell, but it’s hard to tell the condition or what the actual style is like. You’ll have to push for more pictures or go see it yourself.
$100 in Columbia. Here’s the link: (COUCH) Very Nice Vintage.
Heywood Wakefield Bamboo Set. Includes couch, two chairs, coffee table, side table, lamp, and ashtray holder, though I would check on those because I do not think that Heywood Wakefield made lamps or ashtray holders, and I think this price is high. I am not a HeyWake nut, though, so I don’t really know. The upholstery is all matching vintage barkcloth.
$1500 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Heywood Wakefield Set.
Pepsi Sign. This gets into the gray area of what is vintage and what is not, but I don’t care what you say. It’s my blog and I’ll do what I want! It reminds me of arcade games and pizza and sodas with shaved ice, and now I want one of these signs for myself. I would put it up in my kitchen.
$40 in Sedalia. Here’s the link: Pepsi Sign.
Stereo Console. Walnut cabinet with radio, turntable, and 8-track.
$150 OBO in Rolla (about 1.5 hours southeast of Columbia; Lake of the Ozarks Craigslist). Here’s the link: Stereo Console.
Adjustable Stools. Originally used in a dentist’s office. They don’t exactly match, but that’s ok. I like the industrial look and think they would make great barstools if you had a really masculine vintage minimalist thing going on already.
$35 each OBO in Kirksville (about 1.5 hours north of Columbia; Kirksville Craigslist). Here’s the link: High Quality Computer Chairs/Stools.
Columbia Craigslist
Vintage Desk. I like this desk. It looks a lot like the one I have at my house. Nice Danish styling and tapered legs. Useful but decorative. Seller says it’s wooden and in fine condition, but I am sure that is veneer. Mine cleaned up really nicely with Restor-A-Finish. (I am not paid by Restor-A-Finish, but I am willing to sell out.) The top of my desk is not even wood veneer, so I bought some glass for the top, which camouflages it nicely while providing some protection. It was cheap and worth it.
$30 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Wooden Desk.
Postal Sorting Table. This is the kind of thing I love to see on Craigslist. Who would not want this in their house? Sure, it weighs 400 lbs, would take up my entire living room, and I have no practical use for it at all. What is your point, exactly? I want it. It was just removed from service at the Armstrong, Missouri Post Office and was made in 1956.
$300 OBO in Moberly (30 minutes north of Columbia). Here’s the link: Postal Sorting Table.
Matching Lamps. These have a sort of newish look to them, but I’m reading the details and I think they are vintage. I like the shade. It looks vintage as well. They would be great bedside lamps, don’t you think? Seller says they’re in excellent condition.
$30 for both in Columbia. Here’s the link: Matching Deco Lamps.

Dresser Set. I love these! The shape, the style, the condition- it’s all awesome. Perfect Danish modern. And they’ll hold a lot of clothes. You’ll wish you had a mirror over the lowboy, but it doesn’t need to match. Go creative and hang a bunch of hand mirrors above it in a pattern.
$250 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Bedroom Set- 2 Dressers.
Bar Stools. There are three of them with the chrome and the white vinyl seats. The vinyl appears to be in good shape and you can’t beat this price. I like the detail in the seat backs. These would fit with a lot of different kinds of decor.
All 3 for $15 in Jefferson City. Here’s the link: Bar Stools.
Vintage Exercise Bicycles. They’re cheap and I bet they have a smaller footprint than the newer ones. I like the vintage style of them (especially the one with the big leather seat- I don’t know why) and I like the color. They’ll work just as well as the new ones!
$30 in Kirksville, Missouri (Kirksville Craigslist). Here’s the link: Vintage Exercise Bikes.
Kroehler Dresser. Vintage blond wood lowboy dresser. Seller lists the dimensions and says it is in good condition. I like this style. This is another credenza-y one that could be used as a TV stand without looking like it came out of your bedroom. Or put your TV on top of it in your bedroom. The possibilities are limitless.
$30 in Moberly (30 minutes north of Columbia). Here’s the link: 8 Drawer Kroehler Dresser.

End Table. The seller says that this is a slab of granite and weighs 175 lbs, which is crazy heavy for what look like thin tapered metal legs. The seller also says that it rotates. Weird! Cool! I like it.
$125 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Modern End Table.
Kitchen Table. Vintage Formica table with chrome legs. Looks like a drop-leaf style. Seller says it has no marks or scratches, and the price is good for this style, even without the chairs.
$40 in Jefferson City. Here’s the link: Vintage Kitchen Table.
Table and Chairs. These pictures suck, but the price is pretty good despite the apparent condition of the chairs. Black vinyl and what I’m guessing is a fake woodgrain tabletop. I still like these chairs even if they’re in bad shape. Hey, $15!
$15 in Kirksville (from Kirksville Craigslist). Here’s the link: Table and two chairs.
Columbia Craigslist
Dresser. This looks similar to the credenza that I bought to use as a TV stand and media cabinet. I love it. I paid a lot more than this, though. This one looks like it’s in good shape. I love the detail of the drawer pulls, and that it doesn’t look too much like bedroom furniture. You could certainly use it for bedroom furniture, though. Seller is offering delivery if you’re near the MU campus.
$40 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Brown dresser.
Bedroom Set. I like this style with those feet and the wood design. I’m not clear about the condition of these, but it’s nice to get a set like this. Includes one nightstand, a vanity with mirror, and a chest of drawers.
$200 in Jefferson City. Here’s the link: Chest of Drawers, Vanity and Nightstand.
Dresser. Another dresser! But more tapered feet and a little bit of pattern going on there. I like it. It’s probably been painted. You could keep it, repaint it, or strip it down and see what’s under there.
$75 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Dresser.
Green Vintage Chair. Looks like a nice vintage modern club chair. I like the color and the design on the vinyl (I’m guessing that’s vinyl). The price is nice too.
$60 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Green Vintage Chair.
Bentwood Rocker in Ashland
I called about this one myself, because the Craigslist ad says that it has a cloth seat and back, rather than the typical rattan version (so that is not an actual picture of the chair). The very nice lady who is selling it told me that it is a tan velour fabric in very good condition, and that she is selling it because she has to go into an assisted living facility.
I think she thought I was crazy when I told her that I would write about it on my blog, but I hope she sells it to one of you lovely people (tell her you read about it here, please, so she doesn’t think I’m crazy). These chairs have become very popular these days and this is a reasonable price. If the color of the fabric worked for me, I would definitely snap this up.
$65 in Ashland (about 20 minutes south of Columbia).
Here’s the link: Bentwood rocker.
Columbia Craigslist
Rotary Wall Phone. Seller says it was wired for service when it was taken down from the wall, but is not sure if it works.
$20 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Wall-mounted phone.
Frigidaire Flair. I’ve posted this one before, but it’s so unusual that I wanted to post it again, especially since the seller seems to be willing to negotiate on the price now (it was originally listed at $1000). I have since looked this one up and it is a Frigidaire Flair, and apparently it was in the kitchen on the TV show Bewitched. I also looked on eBay, where they seem to sell for less than $500 (but then you have to ship it, which would be several hundreds more). Anyway, it is cool as cool can be, and would look really great in a vintage or modern kitchen, and I hope it sells to a good home soon. It’s lovely.

Columbia Craigslist (45 Minutes Away)
Heywood Wakefield Bedroom Suite. Seller says that the dresser is in mint condition and the other pieces need some work. A dresser, vanity (without mirror), headboard (looks like a twin size), and an end table are included, which means this is actually a reasonable deal. Except that I am not convinced that that little end table/nightstand is true HeyWake. I am searching for it and no dice so far.
$850 in Harrisburg (about forty-five minutes northwest of Columbia). Here’s the link: Art Deco 4 pieces Bedroom Suite.
Couch. This looks vintage to me with that tufting in the back, and the seller says it is in good condition with no rips or stains or smells. But it looks like there is some wear. I like it, but of course this is the only photo provided. It might not be that great from another angle. Check it out in person.
$30 in Mexico, Missouri (about forty-five minutes northeast of Columbia). Here’s the link: Couch.
Columbia Craigslist
Dinette Set. The seller calls it a Brady Bunch dinette set. I agree! I love that fabric. I also love yellow. I have documented my love of yellow throughout this site. Despite the yellow, the price seems pretty high. But the seller says the chairs are in near-mint condition with no rips or tears, which is great. That tabletop looks nice too. Your call.
$200 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Brady Bunch Dinette Set.
Dresser. It comes with a big mirror. I can’t tell what kind of drawer pulls those are, but I like the legs. The wood looks like it’s in good condition.
$125 in Columbia. Here’s the link: Vintage Retro 60′s Dresser.
Chaise Lounge. This looks like it’s in really nice condition, so much so that I wondered if it was even vintage, but then I think they don’t make these anymore, especially with the little wheels on the bottom. But it’s cool, isn’t it? I love the red. I wish I had a reason to own this.
$145 in Glasgow (about 1 hour northwest of Columbia). Here’s the link: Chaise Lounge.
Old Coke Machine. Lights work, gets cold, but needs a new door lock. My brother apparently just inherited one of these. I am a little jealous, but not enough to go find one of my own.
$300 in Linn (about 1 hour southeast of Columbia). Here’s the link: Old Coke Vending Machine.
Console Stereo. GE brand console stereo. The seller says it’s from 1966 and that the radio and turntable both work, but that there’s some water damage on top of the cabinet. I wonder how far some Restor-A-Finish would go? Hmm.
$40 in Jefferson City. Here’s the link: Antique Console Stereo.
Stereo Console in Columbia
Danish Modern Stereo Console
I love these. I wanted one last year for a television stand, and settled on a credenza instead. Which is probably for the better, actually. With the hollow spot in the middle for the turntable, these aren’t generally strong enough to hold a big heavy non-flatscreen television. (What? It hasn’t died yet. When it dies, I’ll go all LCD.)
Anyway! The seller says you can play an iPod on this if you use RCA cables, which is pretty cool. I’m sure the seller would give you a lesson if you wanted to learn.
$150 in Columbia.
Here’s the link: Stereo Console Vintage Danish.
