<p>I called about this one myself, because the Craigslist ad says that it has a cloth seat and back, rather than the typical rattan version (so that is not an actual picture of the chair).  The very nice lady who is selling it told me that it is a tan velour fabric in very good condition, and that she is selling it because she has to go into an assisted living facility.</p>
<p>I think she thought I was crazy when I told her that I would write about it on my blog, but I hope she sells it to one of you lovely people (tell her you read about it here, please, so she doesn&#8217;t think I&#8217;m crazy).  These chairs have become very popular these days and this is a reasonable price.  If the color of the fabric worked for me, I would definitely snap this up.</p>
<p>$65 in Ashland (about 20 minutes south of Columbia).</p>

<p><strong>Danish Modern Stereo Console</strong></p>
<p>I love these.  I wanted one last year for a television stand, and settled on a credenza instead.  Which is probably for the better, actually.  With the hollow spot in the middle for the turntable, these aren&#8217;t generally strong enough to hold a big heavy non-flatscreen television.  (What?  It hasn&#8217;t died yet.  When it dies, I&#8217;ll go all LCD.)</p>
<p>Anyway!  The seller says you can play an iPod on this if you use RCA cables, which is pretty cool.  I&#8217;m sure the seller would give you a lesson if you wanted to learn.</p>

<p><strong>Bentwood Rocker</strong>.  A little pricey.  The seller is aware of what these go for on eBay but not willing to ship.  But it looks like it&#8217;s nice shape and I like these rockers.</p>
<p>$200 at Lake of the Ozarks.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1737149391.html">Rocker</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/atq/1734567706.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-373" title="3n43p83o05Y45W55X4a5a4639c3cd92841eb3" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3n43p83o05Y45W55X4a5a4639c3cd92841eb3.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Wood Desk</strong>.  Another thing that is a little pricier than I would think, but these are usually solid desks, and this one looks like it is in good shape.</p>
<p>$100 in Eugene (about 20 minutes southwest of Jefferson City).  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/atq/1734567706.html">School desk</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1736498612.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-371" title="3nf3md3pa5O15W45S5a5b66df23b8980b1b8a" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3nf3md3pa5O15W45S5a5b66df23b8980b1b8a.jpg" alt="" width="280" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Slipper Chair</strong>.  Needs to be reupholstered, but I like the tapered legs.  If you chose a really bright modern patterned fabric, or even a solid-color boucle, and if you left the skirt off, it would be a cute addition to a bedroom or a nice chair for a corner in the house.</p>
<p>$15 in Jefferson City.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1736498612.html">Antique Chair</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/hsh/1737262307.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-375" title="3n73k03o85U15S05R4a5cc544a551cb4f1458" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3n73k03o85U15S05R4a5cc544a551cb4f1458.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Vintage Pyrex</strong>.  I believe this is the Butterprint pattern in blue.  The seller says that one dish has a chip, but the two smaller dishes are complete with lids.</p>
<p>$10 in Moberly (about 30 minutes north of Columbia).  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/hsh/1737262307.html">Pyrex Refrigerator Dishes</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/atq/1737379350.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-372" title="3k03md3oa5O15Q15U6a5cc21bd0372ce818c3" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3k03md3oa5O15Q15U6a5cc21bd0372ce818c3.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Metal Rocking Lawn Chair</strong>.  Needs some paint, and then it&#8217;s perfect for your patio.</p>
<p>$20 in Jefferson City.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/atq/1737379350.html">Rocking Metal Lawn Chair</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Modern Executive Desk</strong>.  This looks enormous, and unless it comes apart, it will probably be a real pain to move it.  But it sure looks cool from what I can tell in the pictures.  It would probably fit well in your office along one wall, and I&#8217;m sure it could handle both computer and television.  Or, you know, you could actually use it as a desk.  Plus the price is awesome.</p>

<p><strong>Blue Chair</strong>.  I like this one a lot, and I almost considered calling about it for my own house, but I don&#8217;t think the color will work for me.  I love the lines, though, and the seller says that it&#8217;s in perfect condition.</p>

<p><strong>Vintage Couch</strong>.  More of that gold/green!  Seller doesn&#8217;t list condition.</p>

<p><strong>Heywood Wakefield Dresser with mirror</strong>.  The seller emailed me personally so I am listing this one at the top.  Good condition.</p>
<p>$500 in Columbia.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1723684690.html">Heywood Wakefield dresser</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1720275752.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-351" title="3ka3m53pd5V35Y05S2a51dfe080f6de461dcb" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3ka3m53pd5V35Y05S2a51dfe080f6de461dcb.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Kitchen Table and 4 Chairs</strong>.  We see a lot of vintage Formica tables on Craigslist, and this is an earlier example of the style.  I&#8217;ve seen this type before, but rarely in red!  And it comes with four vinyl/chrome chairs.  The seller says that three of the chairs are in perfect shape and one is not, but that might work for you if you want to put this table up against a wall in your kitchen!</p>
<p>$100 in Columbia.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1720275752.html">Vintage Retro Dinette Table</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1723802160.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-357" title="3m23p03l45V45Z55S4a5497ca4e0fcb921893" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3m23p03l45V45Z55S4a5497ca4e0fcb9218931.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Swivel Chair</strong>.  Wow!  What style!  I love that tulip/Eames base.  I am certain that this has been reupholstered, but I think it looks pretty good.  Seller says the chair was made in Switzerland.</p>
<p>$65 in Southwest Columbia.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1723802160.html">Euro Swivel Chair</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1720302503.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-353" title="3n23m13o95O35Q35X3a51c131a5f3aedb112b" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3n23m13o95O35Q35X3a51c131a5f3aedb112b.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p><strong>White Danish Chair</strong>.  This one is pretty stylish too.  Check out the link for the other picture- I decided to highlight the fabric rather than the shape, but both look like they&#8217;re in excellent condition.  Cream vinyl fabric, no major damage.</p>
<p>$25 in Columbia.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1720302503.html">Retro Chair from 60s</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Student Desk</strong>.  A bit scratched up, but it has a nice shape.  My grandparents had some school desks in the basement, and we loved playing at them when we were little.</p>
<p>$10 in Jefferson City.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1719936869.html">Student Desk</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1716840527.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-355" title="3nd3pb3lc5V25W05S4a4t98300b09ef5a127e" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3nd3pb3lc5V25W05S4a4t98300b09ef5a127e.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Orange Chair</strong>.  Somewhere between vintage modern and pub style.</p>
<p>$30 in Jefferson City.  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1716840527.html">Funky Orange Chair</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1717586014.html"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-356" title="3p13o53l05Q55W55R0a4u24732549042c1f82" src="http://retrocomo.aabbbiee.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/3p13o53l05Q55W55R0a4u24732549042c1f82.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Yellow Bar Chair</strong>.  Yellow vinyl and white metal.  A little pricey compared to today&#8217;s other offerings, but honestly I think a lot of the other stuff above is priced way too low!</p>
<p>$70 (no location listed).  Here&#8217;s the link: <a href="http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/fuo/1717586014.html">Vintage Mod Yellow Chair</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Retro Coffee Table with built-in turntable and radio</strong>.  Is it really a coffee table or just a low credenza?  Either way, seller says the phonograph works and that&#8217;s rare in these.  Not that they can&#8217;t be fixed, but it&#8217;s nice that this one doesn&#8217;t need it.  Several pictures in the ad.</p>

<p><strong>Baby Scale</strong>.  I posted one of these before because I thought it was interesting.  Then I saw a photographer use one of these as a prop for newborn baby photos, and I thought was on the cute end of the newborn-baby-photo-prop spectrum.  Has this one been painted matte white?  I&#8217;m giving it the benefit of the doubt and saying no.</p>
