Danish Modern China Cabinet in Columbia
Danish Modern china cabinet available in Columbia. It’s hard to tell what the condition is, but the price isn’t bad. Available at a local thrift shop, which may even have delivery if you’re lucky.
$100 in Columbia (Millersburg exit). Here’s the link: China Cabinet.
St. Louis Craigslist
It might be bitterly cold through Saturday, but temperatures on Sunday should rise to a balmy high in the mid-20s. What should you do with such a warm weekend day? You should drive to St. Louis and pick up your new gold sofa!
Gold Sofa. Okay, so $800. But it’s gold. And you have always wanted a gold sofa.
$800 in St. Louis. Here’s the link: Retro Sofa.
Storage Unit/End Table. They suggest that it could be used as a TV stand, but that would depend on the size and age of your current TV, I think. Make sure it can support it, especially if you have other equipment too. But it’s cute and I like the detail.
$50 in the Warrenton/O’Fallon/Wentzville area. Here’s the link: 1950s Vintage Wood TV Stand.
Matching Loveseats. Kidney shaped in orange velour. What are you waiting for? Honestly, these look pretty comfortable. I’m not sure I understand the best way to arrange them, but it looks like the other piece is a corner piece. The price seems high, but if the fabric is in good shape, it might be worth it. It costs a lot to get a couch reupholstered (and I speak from experience).
$300 in O’Fallon. Here’s the link: Mid century modern love seats.
Dresser. This looks smaller in the picture than I think it is in real life (the seller lists the height at 42″) and I love the detail despite the fact that the veneer is a little beat-up.
$125 in Fenton. Here’s the link: Retro Dresser.
Sofa Set. I love this type of set- it’s so cute. The seller has repaired some of the cat scratch damage.
$200 in St. Louis City. Here’s the link: Mid-Century Long and Low Sofa and Loveseat Set.
Danish Modern Sofa. I love this, too. The upholstery is in nice shape and I like that striped blue color that is typical of this era. Nice.
$225 in Illinois (suburbs, I assume). Here’s the link: Retro Danish Sofa.
Highboy Dresser in Columbia
Danish modern highboy dresser available in Columbia for $45.
Looks like nice clean lines and tapered legs. It’s available at Hardt’s Used Furniture, a store on Business Loop 70 in Columbia. It is unusual to see Danish modern at any of the area used furniture stores- they mostly deal with 80s and 90s country and rustic style, and a little bit of shabby chic.
Anyway, bonus! The fact that it’s available at a storefront means that you can take a look at its condition before you buy it, and you can stop by anytime during business hours.

St Louis Craigslist
How you doing, St Louis?
King-size Danish modern headboard, $75 in Highland, Illinois (on the far outskirts of the eastern St. Louis suburbs).
What did I just tell you? Wait it out for the chrome table with the matching vinyl chairs, because they’re out there. Looks like these have been upholstered. $150 for all! Looks like the same seller as the one above, same location in Highland, IL. Still, I just had to point out this out.
I’ve seen this one posted a couple of times, so though this posting is a few days old, it might be worth trying. $135 for armchair and ottoman in an early 70s design. In St. Louis.
Poorly photographed, but $65 for this sixties-style dinette table & chair set in the Overland area of St. Louis. The top is laminate, but I like the Danish lines and detail, and that’s a pretty good price.
Two Lane Acclaim tables for $135 in St. Louis with the inlaid wood feature, tiered tops, and tapered legs. That’s pricey for what is clearly rough condition, but they might clean up pretty well without a total refinish (I’d try Restor-A-Finish before you go all the way with it), and they are solid wood.
