Giant modern couch!  $50 OBO!  In Columbia, on West Broadway.

I’m not sure I can determine the age of this couch.  Looks like tapered legs but the fabric pattern seems pretty 70s to me.  Those arms are fat, but the rest of it is very streamlined.  Looks like it comes with matching bolster pillows.  Interesting!

The thing about these sofas is that they are often long, longer than normal couches today.  If you’re a tall person (or if you have a tall person hanging around your house sometimes), you might find that you can lie down on one of these comfortably.  On the other hand, they sometimes feel less solid than newer couches, in case you are not just a tall person but also a wide person.  This couch, however, looks like it might be more substantial with those thicker arms.

On eBay Buy It Now for $50 is this pretty cool mid-century modern lamp with the original shade.  I would be all over this if I didn’t have too many lamps already.  The seller is located in Columbia.

It’s a nice neutral color and the base has a bowl shape.  The seller has some plastic plants that probably lived in it for years, but you could fill it with something else.  Or leave it empty!  Or watch as it fills up with loose change, hairpins, and buttons!  (Or is that just at my house?)

The shipping cost is pretty high, but since the seller’s in Columbia, I would hope that the seller would allow a local pickup for free.  But ask before you buy it because it doesn’t expressly say so on the page or in the store policies.
