Heywood-Wakefield Desk.  Don’t cry.  Please don’t cry.  I know, someone painted a Heywood-Wakefield desk.  Not just painted, but PAINTED.  My mother would refer to this color as Thunder Blue.  A lot of atrocities are committed with Thunder Blue paint, I have to say.  Seller says you can strip it.  You can strip it, but at this price it’s not much of a deal.  Unless you’re handy like that, and you don’t cry easily.

$350 in Columbia.  Here’s the link: Heywood Wakefield Antique Wooden Desk.

Waterfall Bedroom Set.  I know these aren’t really modern at all, but art deco-ish, but I have a thing for them.  Something about the giant round mirrors seems so glamorous.  Includes vanity, dresser, and bed frame.  I assume the bench as well?  You better ask.

$250 in Carrollton.  Here’s the link: Bedroom set.

Wicker Fan Chair.  This is a deal!  If you buy this, you must send me a picture of you posing in it in a pink floaty organza dress and floppy hat.  I expect it!  Later it will be a good place for you to drape clothes and pile shoes.

$7 in Columbia.  Here’s the link: Wicker Chair.

Retro Dining Set.  Blond retro drop leaf table with six chairs, two piece hutch, and lighted dry bar.  Seller says it’s in great shape.  I love the style.  I want a dry bar.  Don’t we all?

$595 in Perry, Missouri (north of Mexico, about 1.5 hours from Columbia).  Here’s the link: Retro Dining Set.

Kitchen Stool.  I love this yellow.  Have I mentioned that before?

$20 in Columbia.  Here’s the link: Vintage Booster Seat (Yellow)

Vintage Adult Tricycle.  It’s probably not vintage, but a new reproduction.  The price seems reasonable to me.

$150 in Columbia.  Here’s the link: Vintage Adult Trike.

Dinette Table.  This looks more like 1980s than 1950s, but it’s hard to tell from the photo.  I kind of like the black roses in a Goth sort of way.  Maybe this would work for you?

$50 in Edina, Missouri (east of Kirksville, about 2 hours from Columbia).

Here’s the link: Dinette Table (from Kirksville Craigslist).

Barrel Chair.  The last one looked older than I think it is.  This one doesn’t look vintage, but the seller says it was purchased by his/her parents in the 1950s.  The shape seems far newer than that, but the upholstery and wood don’t look like they’re in very good condition.  I would wonder about the condition of the foam used in the seat as well.  Scrutiny might be needed because the price seems way too high for something that would need that much work.

$199 in Columbia.  Here’s the link: Mid-Century Barrel Chair.

Chromcraft Table and Chairs in Moberly

I love these chairs!

The seller emailed me with bigger pictures for this table & chair set that he posted on Craigslist, so I’ve uploaded them here.  He is pretty specific with details in the ad, and he is open to offers.

$120 for the set.  Here’s the link: Chromcraft ’69 Table and Chairs.

Dinette Set in Osage Beach

This item is one of the reasons I started this blog.

I have seen this posted at least two other times, and it needs a good home!

It’s a road trip away in Osage Beach, Missouri (which is in the Lake of the Ozarks area, about 1.5 hours from Columbia), listed for $300, which is on the high end of a reasonable price for what looks like excellent condition with the original vinyl in a bright pretty color.  (All those matching buttons!)

Seller says there’s a chair, a corner chair, a two-seater bench and a three-seater bench, along with the table.  Seller is pretty specific and includes table measurements.
